Located in a deep valley in the Victorian Alps, Walhalla Historic Township is one of Victoria’s hidden treasures. Discover the fascinating history of this once rich gold mining town and explore some of the spectacular bush tracks around this beautiful valley.

We pass through abandoned towns and forgotten gold sites and experience the thrill of crossing one of the crystal clear mountain rivers. As we head back to the city you will have experienced a part of Victoria you will never forget.

Travel east of Melbourne towards diverse Gippsland, from lush dairy farming country to the stunning Mountain Rivers region

Drive through open spaces, rolling hills, farms and gardens and quaint country towns

Stop at the charming village of Yarragon, situated at the base of the Strezlecki Ranges and enjoy a delicious morning tea on the way to the Mountain Rivers region

Head north from Tyers through the Boola Boola State Forest and enter the stunning Mountain Rivers region
